Dan has over 20 years of experience in the financial planning profession assisting his clients with their planning for retirement, college, insurance, and investment management. He is a Certified Financial PlannerTM and a Behavioral Financial AdvisorTM.
Most of Dan's ongoing professional growth is in the field of financial psychology which he enjoys with his wife Dana who is a licensed clinical psychologist. Their dream is to create a professional practice that integrates financial planning and clinical psychology in order to help individuals and couples understand how their money scripts were adopted and how they may be affecting their relationships, current financial decision making, successes, and failures. Learning why we adopted our money management instincts can reveal clues to overcoming self-defeating, psychologically embedded behaviors. Relationships can be healed, families saved or restored, and future generations can thrive through this process.
Dan and Dana make their home in the Southeast Denver area. They have three children, Brendan, Alaina, and Liam. In their spare time, they enjoy live music, Colorado's major professional sports teams, camping, skiing, and spending time in the Colorado high country.
Dan has been a regular contributor in the national news media including: U.S. News & World Report, Reuters, GoBankingRates.com, insurancenewsnet.com, and The Huffington Post.
