Our Financial Navigation Process

Getting to Know One Another
This meeting is our opportunity to get to know one another in a stress-free environment to determine whether or not we are a good fit for one another. We want to be sure that our services are a fit for your needs and that you are a good match for us. Philosophically, we also need to be in alignment with one another. Before either of us invest our time and energy into working together, let’s be confident that we check these boxes.

Discovering Your Goals
We understand that your goals are every bit as important to you as our personal goals are to us. Once we’ve determined that we are a good match to work with one another, it is time to get to work on developing a plan to achieve them. We will provide you with a homework assignment to allow us to formalize our relationship and setup your personal financial dashboard. In the “Discovering Your Goals” meeting we will discuss more than just the facts and figures of your life; we will learn about your hopes and dreams that are the reason for your financial discipline.

Presentation of Guide Map
In this meeting we present you with an executive summary of our findings and analysis related to your goals and financial standing in regard to them. This includes specific recommendations to move you closer to your goals.

Outfitting
In certain situations, we may discover new or better ways of investing for your future or protecting your financial assets. In the event that we believe there may be a better way, we present you with those recommendations and our rationale during the Presentation of Guide Map meeting. Once you have had a chance to consider our recommendations and have your questions answered, we will help you to implement the solutions in a way that makes it as easy as possible for you. Our goal is to minimize the amount of time and energy it takes for you to implement the solutions we provide.

Ongoing Guidance and Communications
We do not believe that financial planning is an event. It is a process and it will require ongoing maintenance, management, and adjustments. Our clients hire us to manage their most serious money- money that they will not have a second chance at accumulating. Examples include:
- Wealth you have accumulated over your career
- Inheritance you received when a loved one passed away
- Proceeds earned after selling your business
Accumulations such as these rarely repeat themselves. Therefore, we take our responsibility very seriously. Our goal is to have a comprehensive understanding of your investment preferences, goals, and relevant circumstances. From that starting point, all of our interactions, guidance, and recommendations are given in the precise manner that we would deliver to ourselves in the same conditions.
Financial plans are revisited every 18-36 months.
Our investment management service includes us reviewing your portfolio with you as frequent as quarterly but no less than annually.
We make ourselves directly available by phone, text, or email. If you contact us and we cannot answer immediately, our goal is to respond to you on the same day. At times, this will not be achievable in which case we aim to respond to you within 24 hours.
